22 April 2025, A press conference was held at BINUS Alam Sutera to announce the participation of the Fashion Program in HKTDC Fashion InStyle 2025, one of Asia’s most prestigious fashion events. The session featured Head of Program Ratna Dewi Paramita, student designers Shanelle Callista and Maesya, and was moderated by fashion lecturer Dicky Maryoga.

Four brands from 7 students (Shanelle, Anzelda, Faeyza, Maesya, Michelle, Alifa, and Yoshella) will present a total of 24 looks under the theme “Rebirth of Tradition” on April 29, 2025, at 4:45 PM at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. These collections reinterpret Indonesian heritage through a modern design lens. Three collections draw inspiration from Sumba culture, while one highlights the symbolic richness of Lake Toba.

This international exposure provides students with a valuable opportunity to engage directly with global fashion buyers, media, and audiences. It also reflects BINUS University’s commitment to nurturing globally competitive young designers and promoting Indonesian culture on the world stage.

Designer Shanelle Callista, founder of SHAZEL, shared her excitement:
“This event is such a meaningful experience. I get to introduce my work to an international audience and connect with industry professionals from various countries. It pushes me to explore my creativity further and solidify my identity as a young Indonesian designer.”
